Desk restrictions and unsupported conduct

See how Mayospell can respond when the trader's behavior stops looking desk-quality even before the seat is fully closed.

Updated July 5, 2026

Not every problem starts with closure

A serious desk product should be able to warn, restrict, or re-route the trader before immediately jumping to a hard account failure. That is especially true in options, where unsupported event or expiry behavior can show up before the P&L catches it.

What restrictions can look like

Mayospell can tighten structure permissions, require event approval, block same-day expiry scaling, or place the seat into a review-first posture while the trader is still inside the product.

Why payout and recovery are affected

Unsupported conduct does not only threaten the seat. It can also pause, deny, or unwind a payout request and change whether the desk is willing to route the trader into recovery or live progression on favorable terms.
